Two matinees at the Plymouth Theatre in Boston were given by the Dramatic Association April 13 and 14. The college players staged four one-act plays, three each day. Their success did not equal that of the "Misleading Lady" given a month earlier in New-York. "The plays were all too serious", many critics said. The thirteen members of the Association played to full houses, however, and won not a little praise despite the unfortunate selection of plays. They gave: Maeterlinck's "The Intruder", Carl Freybe's "Leave of Absence", Cannan's "James and John", and "The Man from the Sea", by Paul Goddard and Charles Dickey.
