Prof. Edmund E. Day, in addition to his work in economics at Harvard University, has been delivering lectures around Boston. He recently delivered two lectures on Economic Theory and Labor Problems to the William Filene Sons Co-operative Association.
George W. Putnam has been appointed head of the foreign language .department of the Montclair (N. J.) school system. Under a recent change of administration all the teachers of the modern foreign languages as well as the teachers of Latin and Greek have been grouped together in one department, of which Putnam is the head.
