Another interesting reference to the College is on page 472:- "Tis surmised by some of our Gentlemen at Head Quarters, that Wheelocks School will drain the Blood of Yale, draw in the present Administration, and finally be ( ) as a College or Academy at Lebanon—and from what I observed when at Norwich & Windham, I am more convinced in the Matter, that it is to be a State Tool."
