The following telegram was received from H. W. Walters from Chicago, January 21: "Tom McGuire accidentally killed by passenger train while voluntarily assisting in clearing railroad tracks of snow following storms of last week. Death Tuesday, January 15; funeral Friday, January 18. C. M. Davison and myself attended funeral."

Thomas Browne McGuire was born in Chicago, July 1, 1892, the son of Thomas D. and Martha (Browne) McGuire. He prepared for college at Phillips Exeter Academy, entered college in September, 1913, and remained for two years. He was a member of the Psi Upsilon fraternity. He had just finished his training for the Aviation Corps, and was awaiting orders.
