THE PLAYERS
April 1921

During the past month the Dartmouth Players have produced one play, George Bernard Shaw's "Androcles and the Lion." This had been scheduled for before Christmas but had to be postponed owing to the failure of the scenery to arrive- The high calibre of the play as finally produced more than made up for the delay. That good plays of such a type are appreciated by the undergraduate body was proved by the crowd which filled Webster even though the Players were running in direct opposition to the movies that evening. H. H. Mills '23, taking the part of the lion, was the star of the evening, while the acting of C. M. Fitch, J. H. Newton, and J. D. Parker, Jr., three freshmen who made their debut on the Dartmouth stage, promised well for the next three years of dramatics.
