Rev. E. Ellsworth Reynolds, formerly of the New Hampshire Conference of the Methodist Episcopal church, but for the past two years superintendent of Miami District, St. John's River Conference, was appointed pastor at St. Petersburg, Fla., at the recent Conference ses- sion.
Fred Lewis Pattee is about to issue through the Century Company a book of critical essays, entitled "The Age of O. Henry and Other Studies." In the fall Harper and Brothers will publish his "History of the American Short Story." His "Century Readings in American Literature" has been, adopted by nearly three hundred American colleges. He has recently delivered the annual Recognition Day address before the Phi Beta Kappa society of Ohio Wesleyan University.
