The forty-second annual report of the New England Society of Pennsylvania published this year contains "an address delivered before the Society "The Spirit of New England" by the Hon. George H. Moses '90.

"Studies of the Vitamine Potency of CodLiver Oil," No. 3 by Arthur D. Holmes '06, has been reprinted from the September, 1922, issue of the Journal of Metabolic Research.

The Howard Review for June, 1923, contains an article by E. E. Just '07, ' The Necessity of the Egg Cortex for Fertilization."

Herbert A. Miller '99, is the author of an article "Nationalism and the Jew," which appeared in the Jan. 1923 issue of the World Tomorrow.

"An Inside View of the Retail Bookstores of Boston," a series of bookstall vignettes which have appeared in the Boston EveningTranscript, written by Clifford B. Orr 22, has been issued in pamphlet form.

"Looking on Life In Many-hued Moscow," by John Varney '09, was printed in the issue of the New York Times Book Review for July 8.

The Macmillan Co. have just published "The Middle Passage" by Dan Chase '14. This book will be reviewed in a later issue of the MAGAZINE.

The Granite Monthly for July contains an article "Future Policies of the Republican Party." 1. A Revival of Party Loyalty Wanted, a review by George H. Moses '90. 2. A Party Program, by Frank Knox. 3. A For ward-Looking Party, by Frank A. Musgrove '99.

Dr. C. R. Abbott, Medical School '11, is the author of a pamphlet "Intestinal Obstruction by Gall Stones," reprinted from the March 22, 1923 issue of the Boston Medical and Surgical Journal.

The issue of the Weekly Underwriter for June 16, 1923 contains "Contingent Public Liability Insurance," by H. G. Jackson '10.

"The Second Generation," by Anthony M. Rud '14, has just been published by Doubleday-Page Company. This book will be reviewed in a later issue of the MAGAZINE.
