BRICK WORK NOW COMPLETE ON HALF OP INN ADDITION
December, 1923

Steel and brick construction of the basement and three stories of the new five-story addition to the Hanover Inn are now completed and it is planned to have the building entirely enclosed before the first heavy snow. Finishing work on the interior will be done during the winter months and the addition will be opened June 1, 1924.

The new structure will add 48 rooms with baths to the present number, thus doubling the accommodations. A new dining room, occupying the entire first floor, will seat 234 guests, or more than twice the capacity of the present dining room. The old dining room is, to be remodeled and furnished as an additional living room.

Work on the project was begun September 15 by the Rowe Construction Company, of Woodsville, N.H., the contractors who built Russell Sage Hall.

The new addition is one wing of a comprehensive building program outlined for the future.
