Dartmouth 1928 38—Troy Conference Academy 7
December 1924

Troy Conference Academy with one of the strongest teams in years came down to Hanover with a record of three victories, two ties and one defeat but was unable to furnish Sid Hazelton's men with real opposition. Dartmouth's first two scores were the result of effective line plunging, one coming in each of the first two quarters.

Troy was quick to take advantage of the Green substitutes who were sent in toward the end of the half. Following an intercepted pass Millard and Jeffers opened up a running and passing game all their own which enabled Millard to fall over the line for a score just as the half ended. The goal was kicked.

In the second half the freshmen came back stronger than ever, scoring three touchdowns and a field goal. Captain McPhail got into this game long enough to score one touchdown after being laid up with an injury for the greater part of the season. Coach Hazelton used many substitutes who in the second half gave evidence of considerable strength.
