As members of the United States Olympic team E. E. Meyers '2l, and L. T. Brown '23 sailed from New York June 16 on the "America." Meyers, as a member of the Illinois Athletic Club qualified for a position in the pole vault, winning the event in the trial meet in which he engaged. He has been vaulting consistently since he was graduated and is still one of the country's best performers. Brown, captain of last year's track team, showed to good advantage by winning the trials held at New York with a leap of 6 feet 6)/2 inches. On the "America" also sailed Dartmouth's track coach, Harry L. Hillman, who is one of the staff of coaches accompanying the team.
