SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY OFFERS FELLOWSHIP
March, 1924

Ten Fellowships of $500 each, and 16 scholarships of $140 each have been recently es- tablished for the year of 1924-25 by Syracuse University for the promotion of graduate study and research work.

The Fellowships will be awarded to graduates of colleges and universities of recognized standing, who have shown superior proficiency in the subjects in which they wish to specialize. The holder of a Fellowship is expected to work for the Master's or Doctor's degree, and to give a certain amount of assistance to the department in which he holds the Fellowship. These men are designated as "University Fellows" and are exempt from the tuition charges.

The 16 scholarships, the amount of $140 covering the tuition charges of the graduate school, will be given to graduates of colleges and universities of recognized standing, with the purpose of assisting students whose undergraduate standing and record of personal qualities give promise of superior success either in research or in the profession of teaching. Holders of graduate scholarships are designated as "University Scholars." The awards are to be made early in April.
