MRS. MORSE WILLS DARTMOUTH $25,000

A bequest of $25,000 to Dartmouth College was made in the will of Mrs. Kate M. Morse, widow of Henry C. Morse, according to the proceedings recently filed in the probate office in Boston.

The amount willed to the College is a part of public bequests totalling $185,000, of which the Massachusetts Institute of Technology aftd Boston University will receive $25,000 each. The remainder of the public bequests were willed in sums of $15,000 and $5OOO to various hospitals, Christian associations, and charitable institutions.

Two scholarships of $6OO each, called the Morrill Allen Gallagher Memorial Scholarships, based on a gift of $25,000 made by Mrs. Morse several years ago, are awarded annually to two undergraduates selected on the basis of .the Rhodes scholarships.
