Class of 1876

Seven members of the class and one guest gathered for the annual dinner in Boston, Hotel Vendome, January 24. Those present were George H. Tripp, president, Charles 8.. Hibbard, class agent, Frank H. Hardison, Samuel Merrill, Thomas Flint, Rev. Justin E. Abbott, Dr. Henry H. Piper, and, as guest, Dr. Stimson of Fitchburg, Mass., brother of E. C. Stimson '76 and classmate in the Dartmouth Medical School of George Goodhue '76. Letters were read from Stimson, Dr. Bridgman, and Hill.

Prof. Richard T. Ely as director of the Institute for Research in Land Economics and Public Utilities, Madison, Wis., has been studying questions of city planning and water supply at Los Angeles, Cal. His stay in the city also included the delivery of six lectures.
