Maurice W. Dickey has been promoted. He is now managing editor instead of news editor of the Springfield, Mass., Union.

Marie Barstow has been elected to Phi Beta Kappa in Smith College.

Arthur Irving and Martha Gates are soon to be married. The bride-to-be was a nurse working with the Harvard unit during the war in France.

J. D. (Ted) Child, American vice-consul at Bordeaux, visited a number of '99 men in making the rounds of New England during his recent vacation.

The trustees of Fisk University are trying to induce Herbert Miller to take the presidency of this institution.

Members of the legislature are so enthusiastic over the service of Jim Richardson in the legislature that they are predicting a brilliant future in case he cares to remain in the game.
