Harry R. Heneage '07, of Short Hills, N. J., a former Dartmouth football player and well known as a football official has been elected by the Athletic Council to be Supervisor of Athletics, at Dartmouth, in charge of intercollegiate and intra-mural sports, and will direct the management of all the athletic plant and equipment Of the College. The new position which Mr. Heneage will come to at the beginning of the year carries a faculty ranking and will take the place of and be an enlargement of the former Graduate Managership position filled for the past four years by Max A. Norton 'l9, who recently became Bursar of the College.

"Rip" Heneage, as he is known in Hanover came to Dartmouth from the Oak Park High School, of Chicago, where he had starred on school athletic teams and subsequently won recognition for himself as an athlete at Dartmouth. Since his undergraduate days he has maintained his interest in intercollegiate athletics and his acquaintanceship with those who have to do with them.

Following his graduation from Dartmouth Mr. Heneage entered the steel business and for several years now has served as Eastern Manager for the Joseph T. Ryerson Co., of Chicago in whose employ he has been during the major part of his business career.
