Opening its season on the Memorial Field rink Jan. 14, the 1929 hockey team won a 4 to 3 encounter with Hebron Academy, after three periods of fast play. The freshmen scored twice in the first few minutes of play but the Hebron team then tightened defensively and showed a scoring power as well which in the final period made the outcome of the contest doubtful until the wlhistle sounded.
