Inaugurating its season with an auspicious victory the Dartmouth Gymnasium team over- whelmed the gymnasts of Massachusetts Institute of Technology by a score of 42 to 12 at Alumni Gymnasium February 20. The Dartmouth men won first places in all six of the events and accounted also for three second places.

The team continued its success when at West Point the Army Gymnasium team was defeated by a score of 37 to 13. The West Point men succeeded in winning only one of the events scheduled.

At Princeton, March 12, the Dartmouth men won their third meet, taking places for a total of 31 points while Princeton men accounted for but 23. The feature of the meet was the record-breaking performance of Taylor, of Princeton, whose time in the Rope Climb was five seconds flat.

The strong Naval Academy team which Dartmouth met at Annapolis March 13 clearly outclassed the Green and won by a score of 38 1/2 to 15 1/2. A. C. Bliss '27 was the only member of the Dartmouth team able to win a first place.

Another defeat was registered against the Green gymnasts when the University of Pennsylvania team, taking four first places in a meet in Alumni Gymnasium outscored Dartmouth by 30 points to 24. Captain Kraemer, of Pennsylvania, who took second places in the side horse and flying rings competitions, equalled the intercollegiate rope climb record of 4.8 seconds.
