Harry W. Chase, president of the University of North Carolina, has recently been urged to become president of the University of Oregon, but has tinally decided to remain in North Carolina. This decision has created a great deal of comment by the educators and leading citizens of the state, who regard Mr. Chase's decision to remain as a great asset to the university. He has received a number of very complimentary dinners since the decision was made.

Harry B. Johnson, secretary of the class, has recently resigned as representative of Harris, Forbes and Company, with which company he was associated for the past fourteen years, to become manager in Springfield, Mass., of the banking house of Jackson and Curtis. In June he will move his family to Springfield and make his residence there.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry I. Holton of Chicago have been spending a few months abroad, and are expected back home some time in April.

Mr. and Mrs. D. S. Rollins and family of Newport, N. H., have been spending the winter in Florida.

A card received from Bruce Sanborn of St. Paul, Minn., stated that John Cronin had been spending a few days with him in St. Paul.
