DEATH OF DR. LYMAN FORMER FACULTY MEMBER

Dr. George R. Lyman, Dean of the West Virginia College of Agriculture at Morgantown, died in Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, June 7. Death was caused by an embolism.

Dr. Lyman, who was at one time a member of the Dartmouth faculty, had served before going to West Virginia, as Pathologist in charge of plant disease survey in the Department of Agriculture in Washington. For several years prior to 1917 he was also an inspector for the Federal Board of Horticulture.

Dr. Lyman was born in Lee Center, Ill., and received his education in Beloit College, Wisconsin, and Harvard. His age was 54.
