MRS. HERBERT D. FOSTER DIES SUDDENLY IN HANOVER
August, 1926

Mrs. Herbert D. Foster died at her home in Hanover on June 3, 1926. She was a native of Liverpool, England, and came to Hanover after her marriage to Professor Foster of the Department of History on July 7, 1897. Since that time she had taken an active part in the life of the College and of the community. Her interests were broad, embracing social work in England before her marriage and the study of music and French in Europe. It was characteristic of her that at the time of her sudden death she was entertaining friends at her home. She was a woman of unusual energy, enthusiasms, and sincerity and she will be much missed in the life of Hanover where she was so active and much beloved.
