During the Commencement exercises in Webster Hall June 22 honorary degrees were conferred by the College upon nine men, five of whom were graduates of Dartmouth, one a non-graduate, and one other a former recipient of a Dartmouth honorary degree. The recipients were presented by Professor Gordon Ferrie Hull the degrees being conferred according to the following characterizations by President Ernest M. Hopkins.
