Carnival Show Chosen
DECEMBER 1927

A student written musical comedy will again be presented at Carnival it was decided a few days ago by the Carnival Show Committee of the Players, which definitely accepted "The Green Peach" by Neal R. Dowe '28 and Charles B. Gaynor '29. Although the Players were satisfied with the reception of their revival of "The Chocolate Soldier" last year, they felt the desirability of continuing their policy of encouraging undergraduate efforts.

"The Green Peach," which was selected from a large field of competitors, is of local character, having to do with Dartmouth students meeting girls at summer resorts and having them up to Carnival the following winter. Dowe and Gaynor wrote the book, music and lyrics themselves. Trials for the chorus have already begun.
