Pow Wow in 1928
DECEMBER 1927

Mr. Warren C. Agry '11 presented a communication from the secretary of the Chicago Alumni Association asking that the opinion of the Council be procured as to the desirabilty of holding another Pow Wow in Chicago at the time of the football game with Northwestern University in the fall of 1928. In the ensuing discussion it was evident that the members of the Council felt that the original Pow Wow held in 1924 had been a marked success and that if the Chicago Association desired to hold another Pow Wow in 1928 no other place was so favorably located "for such a meeting and no group better equipped to direct it. It was likewise felt that such a project merited the hearty cooperation of the council. It was therefore

Voted: That the Council approve the holding of a Pow Wow in the season of 1928-29 and that a committee be appointed by the chairman to act as may be necessary and further, that the Pow Wow be held in Chicago if this seems most desirable and acceptable to the Chicago Association.

Mr. E. W. Hiestand then described the interesting activity of the Detroit Association in offering a cup to that Detroit high school whose football team has been most successful during the present season, both from the point of view of games won and from the scholastic standing of the members of the team.

No further new business being presented it was Vo.ted: That the spring meeting of the Council be held in Hanover on Friday and Saturday, June 15-16, 1928. The meeting then adjourned to meet again on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock.
