In the new state government of New Hampshire inaugurated the first week in January Dartmouth College is represented by Frank L. Gerrish of Boscawen, of 'the class of 1878 in the executive council; Arthur P. Smith '97, of Peterborough, and Samuel J. Lord '92, of Manchester, in the state senate; and in the house of representatives by Judge Frank N. Parsons '74, of Franklin, Dr. Charles B. Drake '83m, of Lebanon, Dr. George W. Weymouth '78, of Lyme, Dr. George W. Nutter '84, of Rollinsford, Henry A. Hubbard '85, of Candia, Dr. Hiram L. Johnson '97 m, of Franconia, William A. Kimball '98, of Plymouth, James P. Richardson '99, of Hanover, Maurice G. Jewett '09, of Milford, Rev. W. F. Whitcomb '96, of Claremont, Harold K. Davison '15, of Woodsville, Thomas J. Connelly 'l5, of Newmarket.

With Mr. Davison as speaker and Judge Parsons again chairman of the Judiciary standing committee Dartmouth fills the two most important places in the House of Representatives.

Other Dartmouth men holding' official positions in relation to the state of New Hampshire at the present time are U. S, Senator George H. Moses '90 and Congressman Fletcher Hale 'O5; Judges Leslie P. Snow '86, and John E. Allen '94, of the Supreme Court ; Judge Joseph S. Matthews '84 of the Superior Court; Ernest W. Butterfield '97, state commissioner of education; with James N. Pringle '97, and Walter M. May '05, deputy commissioners; William T. Gunnison '92, chairman, and former Governor Fred H. Brown '03, member, of the public service commission; Charles Duncan '98, secretary of the state board of health; Dr. Charles H. Dolloff '00 superintendent of the state hospital; Dr. Benjamin W. Baker '98m, superintendent of the Laconia State School; John R. Spring '90, chairman of the state tax commission; Benjamin W. Couch '96, trustee of the New Hampshire State Hospital.

W. J. Ahern, Jr., '07 and W. F. Hale 'OB, are with the state forestry department; M. C. Knapp '07, with the state highway department; D. Waldo White '87, with the public service commission; Dr. F. E. Bryar '94 m, on the state hospital staff; and Harlan C. Pearson '93, secretary to the governor.
