THOUSANDS OF BRICKS AROUND NEW LIBRARY SITE

The number of bricks placed around the site of the new library totaled 265,000 February 5 and loads brought since then have added 5,000 more. They will continue to arrive until March and at that time there should be close to 600,000 piled up awaiting the builders. This number does not include 100,000 face bricks, the others being designed for the interior part of the framework.
