MICHAEL WINS TITLE IN FANCY DIVING EVENT
MAY 1927

K. B. Michael, varsity fancy diver, won the individual intercollegiate diving championship in the C. C. N. Y. pool in New York. Bryant, Dartmouth sprint star, was nosed out of the 100 yard title by Lewis of Rutgers in the last few yards of the race.

Michael scored 97 points to defeat his nearest rival, Cooper of the Navy who piled up 90.8 points. Cooper was last year's intercollegiate champion. Vaden of Yale was a close third with a score of 90.5 points.

The most spectacular race of the entire meet was the SO yard swim which House of Yale won in 24 2-5 seconds. Wright of Columbia, favored to win the race, trailed the victor throughout the entire contest. House was a double victor having also won the 150 yard backstroke title.
