OCCOM POND AGAIN CLEARED FOR SKATERS
JANUARY, 1928

Through the cooperation of several college and community organizations Occom Pond will again be kept open for skating and curling this year. Hanover weather to date has allowed but little skating. The committee in charge of clearing the pond has announced, however, that four small rinks will be built for recreational and class hockey and provision is being made for a curling rink, a speed skating track and for a large area for general skating.

The following organizations of the college and community have subscribed funds aggregating $1950: Dartmouth Outing Club, Hanover Village Improvement Society, Precinct of Hanover, Dartmouth Athletic Council, Dartmouth College, Clark School, Hanover Curling Club. With a balance from last year's operation of $146, the total available this season is $2096.
