ALUMNI FUND CAMPAIGN OPENS FEBRUARY 11
FEBRUARY, 1928

The 1928 campaign of the Alumni Fund opens February 11 when the first mailing piece will be sent to the alumni. The quota for this year's drive remains the same as that of last year, $115,000. Due to the fact that the alumni failed by $4,000 to reach the goal last year the Committee of the Alumni Council on the Alumni Fund has set the same mark for the coming campaign.

A feature of the annual campaign is the experiment being tried this year of shortening the length of the period of solicitation for eight classes. No active work will be done by the class agents of these classes until after April 1, and no Alumni Fund literature will be sent to the members of the classes in this group until after that time. The classes which have adopted this scheme are: 1887, 1897, 1912, 1920, 1921, 1922, 1923, and 1926. The campaign for all classes will end June 30.

The question has often been raised as to whether or not the Alumni Fund campaign might not be shortened without loss of efficiency. Since the total enrollment of the eight classes involved in the experiment constitutes 24% of the whole alumni body the results achieved this year by these classes may be taken as a fair indication of what success the plan would meet if adopted for all classes.

The committee of the Alumni Council in charge of the Alumni Fund is headed by George M. Morris '11 and Sidney C. Hay ward '26 is executive secretary. The other members are: Philip S. Marden '94, Frederic H. Leggett '98, Warren C. Agry '11, and Allan L. Priddy 'IS.
