The following clipping is taken from a recent issue of the Rockford paper and indicates that Bill is going strong „Wm. Knight Sets County Vote Record" "In winning his renomination State's Atty. 'William D. Knight broke a county record established four years ago, complete returns of Tuesday's election reveal. "State's Knight secured a plurality of 4,677 over his nearest opponent, B. Jay Knight, and a plurality of 6,028 over George T. Liddell, who ran third. Four years ago the present state's attorney secured a plurality of 2,500 over his nearest opponent, which established a record at that time. "That William Knight was the popular choice in the recent primaries is shown by the fact that he carried six of the eight city wards and every precinct in the county outside of the city. He carried 64 of the 84 precincts in the entire county, and carried the home precincts of each of his opponents."

Larry Symmes and Frank Robinson appeared in Hanover at the time of the Secretaries' meeting.
