E. Everett Clark '06, head of the department of adult education in the division of university extension of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, spent his first twelve years out of college in teaching in high schools in Amesbury, Mass., Coe's Academy and Nashua, N. H. In 1918 he became principal of the junior high school in Nashua. He became state supervisor of the Evening Schools in New Hampshire, and later he did community educational work in Connecticut. In 1922, after service as supervisor in Everett, he went to the staff of the state board of education in Massachusetts.

A. Heywood Knowlton '17 was appointed an instructor of Romance languages in 1922, and became assistant professor in 1926. He took his master's degree at Harvard.

E. O. LOCKE of the class of 1870 has a long record of service as clerk of the United States Court for the Southern District. He was appointed to the office by President Grant in 1872. He retired from the office in 1913. He has also practiced law extensively. Educated in Berwick Academy and Manchester High School, he came to Dartmouth, and went to Florida after graduating to become principal of the first public school in Key West. He lives at 125 W. Ashley street, Jacksonville.

H. M. EVANS, instructor in recreational activities and coach of freshman basketball, is a graduate of Springfield College in 1922. In college he earned letters in five sports. After graduation he coached at Rensselaer Tech in Troy, N. Y., and Brown. He came to Dartmouth two years ago.

CHAUNCEY N. ALLEN was graduated from Dartmouth in 1924. He went first into the publishing business with the American Book Company but returned to Dartmouth in 1926 as an instructor in psychology. He is at present on leave of absence.

FREDERICK H. BURLEIGH of the class of 1928 is supervisor of the new Dartmouth Museum which is now in the remodeled Wilson Hall. He was prominent in the work of the Players while he was in College and has done much for the organization since graduation.
