Dartmouth Night

THE 54th observance of Dartmouth Night will be held the night before the Colgate game, Friday, October 15. Speakers at the parent meeting in Hanover will be President Dickey, John N. Dahle '49 of Duluth, Minn., president of Palaeopitus, and Sidney C. Hayward '26, Secretary of the College, who will read telegrams and messages from Dartmouth alumni clubs holding simultaneous meetings throughout the country. Music will be provided by the band and glee club.

Started by President William Jewett Tucker in 1895 as a means of welcoming the new freshman class into the Dartmouth fellowship, Dartmouth Night has grown into its present status of an occasion when Dartmouth men everywhere gather to reaffirm their loyalty to the College.
