PROFESSOR RAYMOND W. JONES was graduated from Cornell and received also his doctor's degree there. He is a member of the department of German. In 1920 he instituted the study of the Russian language at Dartmouth and has had classes in Russian since that time.

EVAN WOODWARD '22 has been a member of the English department since 1924. From 1925 to 1928 he served as comptroller of the Outing Club. He is a member of the faculty committee on Outing Club.

ALBERT D. STARK is a member of the department of Physical Education. He has been at Dartmouth two years teaching recreational activities, and coaching the freshman basketball team. This year he is coaching the Varsity. He was chosen a National League umpire a year ago, and, as the youngest umpire in big league baseball, has finished a very successful season.

ROLF C. SYVERTSEN is secretary of the Dartmouth Medical School. He has served on Carnival Committees nine years and has been chairman seven times. Two years ago the Outing Club made him a life member in appreciation of his services. He inaugurated the most pleasing features of the "Outdoor Evening" of Carnival, and originated the club's models for program organization, publicity, and many other features.

PBOFESSOB EDWIN J. BABTLETT with whom we used "to flunk way down in Culver Hall," is a member of the class of 1872. In 1918 the College conferred upon him the degree Sc.D. He is now Hanover's first citizen, and is kept quite busy writing books, guides, book reviews, magazine articles, and receiving his friends.

LEONARD W. DOOB '29 is the president of The Round Table and editor of The Tomahawk. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and his home is in New York City.
