Training for Editors
MARCH 1929

The Dartmouth under the leadership of Walter L. Scott, of New Rochelle, N. Y., has taken over a section of an English composition course to train its editors in journalism, writing and college administration.

Prof. Eric P. Kelly '06 will take charge of the writing instructions of this course for Dartmouth board members and prospective editors. Prof. W. H. McCarter '19 will conduct the section of this course dealing with the administration of the College. The purpose of this part of the training is to inform the editorial writers in the inner workings of various departments of the college administration. A. I. Dickerson '30, associate editor of The Dartmouth, will be a course assistant to Professors Kelly and McCarter.

An attempt will be made during the semester to subject the editors to frequent lectures by heads of departments and administrative officers on the purposes of the well-known "Liberal College."
