William B. Hale 2nd, 1944's Head Class Agent, received the James B. Reynolds Trophy from Vice Chairman Seth Strickland '60 at the Class Agents Association meeting in Hanover May 5. The following citation accompanied the award:
Last year, under the skillful and dedicated leadership of Bill Hale, the Class of 1944 finished a strong second in the Group V Green Derby race raising over $56,000. In addition, 1944 led all nonreunion classes in total dollar improvement by increasing over $17,000 in 1972 versus 1971. Mr. Hale has a tested and veteran team of Class Agents working with him each year and also directs the skillful solicitation of top prospects. He is currently serving his fifth year as 1944 Head Agent.
It is a privilege, on behalf of the Fund Committee to honor Bill Hale and the Class of 1944 fellowship with The James B. Reynolds Trophy Citation for an outstanding performance by a Head Agent and a class 25 to 40 years out of College.
