Frank Benjamin Munn died on April 5, 1929, after a long illness, at his home in New Hartford, Conn. News of his death came to the Secretary two weeks later. An obituary notice will appear in another issue.
Prof. George P. Bacon and wife returned from his half year in Europe, spent mostly in Cambridge, England, where his younger daughter is taking postgraduate work. Bacon reports many pleasant experiences in his contact with English college life in the old university city.
Parkhurst Brackett, younger son of Prof. F. P. Brackett, was married on April 6, 1929, to Miss Davida Wark, who was a classmate of the young man at Pomona College. Mr. Brackett is an assistant in chemistry at Harvard.
An oil painting of Dr. Charles A. Eastman was recently presented to tlie College as a gift from his classmates. The presentation was made by the class president, Judge George H. Bingham, and is in recognition of the position of Dr. Eastman as an outstanding member of his race and as one of the most prominent among the American Indian graduates of the College.
