Alumnus Lost?

Mexico City, June 11.-A short, thick-set apeman, captured to-day just outside the suburb of Mexicoae, has aroused intense interest among anthropologists of the Mexican Ministry of Education. Unable to classify him, they insist he is a throwback to an earlier age of the race.

The captive keeps shouting lustily, "Wah Oo Wah!" Otherwise, he is entirely inarticulate. The anthropologists who have been studying him describe him as entirely "apefaced," with a protruding jaw, receding forehead, powerful shoulders and arms reaching to his knees. He walks flat-footed.

The creature is being held for further scientific observation.
