Alumni Editor of the Magazine
Few realize the extent of Mr. Comstock's Dartmouth activities as he never tells of them himself.
HE has been statistical secretary of the Alumni Association since that office was created in 1891 and previous to that had already edited a general catalogue of the College. He was a member of the first board of editors of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE and has served on the board continuously with ever changing colleagues. To him is due much of the excellence of the alumni notes appearing in each issue of the MAGAZINE and which have a reputation far beyond Dartmouth circles. He also holds a high position in the affection of his classmates as their long-time secretary.
ASIDE from these Dartmouth activities he has filled an important place in the life of his home town, at Chelsea, Vermont, and of his state. His vocation has been teaching and for many years he was principal of Chelsea Academy, filling in his spare time as register of probate, town clerk, and treasurer and statistical secretary of the Vermont Congregational Conference. The College and the MAGAZINE are alike indebted to his painstaking care and capable editing.
