Getting back to the present, the Dartmouth line is replete with old faces. Again Capt. Harold Andres and Ping Ferry are the center men, with giant Gay Bromberg and Hank Barber still on deck as guards. Stan Yudickey, one of the finest defensive ends in the country, is assured of his position, and he and Bromberg have gone into the punt blocking business with zest this year. Yudickey made one of the most sensational plays of the season in the B U. game when he was in so fast on a kicker that he actually took the ball off the man's toe the instant it left and raced 35 yards for the score. The week previous, Bromberg crashed through Bates to block a kick.

The other end position is open to all comers and so far no one capable of filling Harold Booma's shoes has appeared. Larry Durgin, a sophomore, was tried out there at first, but injuries hampered him. Then Forrest Branch, a really fine first-year varsity player, was adjudged too good to be playing second string to Andres and Ferry and so was moved out to end, but his work has not impressed to date. Finally Charley Sullivan, son of a well-known Dartmouth alumnus, was given the position, and perhaps his three years on the squad will help him out in his varsity ranking. Ed Stokes, another veteran who will be remembered as the only man to score a touchdown on Harvard two years ago, is on the second team.
