J. B. Martin, Jr. '31, of Grand Rapids, Mich., was elected editor-in-chief of The Dartmouth for 1930-31, at a meeting of the 1930 directorate just previous to vacation. A. S. Leach '31, of Winnipeg, was elected managing editor, and the newly created position of city editor was awarded to R. S. Oelman '31, of Dayton, Ohio. Charles K. O'Neill '31, of Bridgeport, Conn., and D. Hovey '31, of Minot, N. D., were elected associate editors.

Martin, Leach and Oelman are members of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Martin is president of Green Key and is of Phi Beta Kappa rank. Two successive editors, French and Martin, were both selected for the Winston S. Churchill Memorial Award during freshman year. This award is given annually to that member of the freshman class "who, in the judgment of the Dean of Freshmen, possesses to the greatest degree the qualifications of manliness, uprightness, firmness and respect for duty."

Martin and Oelman are honors men in English. Leach is a letterman on the lacrosse team.

O'Neill is a member of the Jack o'Lantern board and belongs to the Chi Phi fraternity. Hovey is a member of the Theta Chi fraternity.
