The Faculty'S Birdman

Professor Richard T. Holmes, a teacher at the College since 1967 and first holder of the Ronald and Deborah Harris Professorship in Environmental Biology, has been cited by the American Ornithologists' Union for his "large and important body of work... [which] has greatly increased our understanding of forest bird communities." Holmes has been exploring the reasons why America's song-bird populations have been plummetting.
