ATTENTION ALUMNI
MARCH 1930

The Dartmouth Library again reminds the alumni that it is very anxious to add to its collection of alumni and faculty publications. Books, pamphlets, magazine articles—by alumni or faculty, are earnestly solicited. The appeal for bookplates last year brought a ready response to this ever-increasing collection. More, however, are wanted. Old photographs, historical matter in letter or newspaper clippings, are also sought as the new archives room in the Baker Library is designed to furnish not only a place of records but also a room for research workers. The College is anxious to obtain any bit of historical material dealing with its early or more recent past.

This room for archives is open to persons engaged in compiling historical material, to research workers, to students;—there is at present a very fine collection of manuscripts, letters, and books dealing with the early history of the college. The field which the early college and Indian school offer goes back to 1743 when the first Indian student entered Wheelock's home in Lebanon, Conn. Alumni are invited to visit or make use of this room.
