Col. Anton Deittrich has been quietly developing a formidable fencing team during this winter season, and the men continue to go along their winning ways, defeating opponents in every class with ease. H. D. Newman at this writing is in the undefeated class and Capt. Robert Bruce has won a majority of his bouts in both foils and sabres. Howard D. Crosse is the third man on the team, and this trio has been carrying the Green forward throughout the season. Their victories have been scored over such opponents as M. I. T., St. John's, Bowdoin and Norwich, all of which colleges put out clever fencing teams.

Coach Pat Kaney of the gym team has several star men, but luck turned against Dartmouth in several of the meets, and while Dartmouth did not win, still the Green is to be counted upon in the intercollegiates. In Capt. Avery H. Gould, intercollegiate tumbling champion, and Gordon Zey, who specializes in the flying rings and parallel bars, Dartmouth has two first-class representatives. In a recent meet with the Navy and M. I. T., Dartmouth took third honors, but Zey won both of his events against the Navy, which is quite a feat in itself, considering the fact that the midshipmen are champions without a doubt and are present holders of the league title. The Green won from the Army 28-26, and lost to Temple by a twopoint margin.

Other men who have done good work on the Dartmouth team are Wilson Seney, who won the tumbling in the last meet, Hahn and Sutton, both point winners.
