Traditionally this month before Easter recess is muddy, drab, monotonous and enervating, but this winter we found it decidedly pleasant. Hanover's withering blizzards and biting cold turned to spring-like weather and a series of activities on campus broke the hitherto uneventful and tedious month of March. (But it snowed on March 16, 17, 18.)
In rapid succession came Carl Sandburg, Thornton Wilder, the musical trio of Bea- trice Harrison, Gertrude Ehrhart and Carl Salzedo, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Mount Washington trips, class elections, the Green Key prom and convention, the presentation of Journey's End, freshman-sophomore squabbles and intramural sports galore.
