The freshman baseball team turned in a nice contest against the Harvard yearlings when they shut them out by a 7-0 score, a game which was played at the same time as their older brothers of the varsity nines were engaged. The high light of that contest to me was the sight of Sid Hazelton, feverishly worried, running all over the park looking for someone to umpire the game, due to the fact that the two arbiters had not shown up. He came up to me with a forlorn expression, and I had my only idea of the day. Over in the first base stands sat Chick Shea, sometime athlete at Dartmouth, and in no time we had him out running the freshman game.
Sizing up the present freshman team, it appears as though three pitchers are going to be sent up to the varsity next year, all of them with much promise. Edwards, Thompson and Boisseau are the young men's names, and they have been quite effective in the box.
