In the October issue of the MAGAZINE mention was made of Ralph Bartlett's trip to Europe. The following is quoted from a letter to the Secretary written in Moscow, September 21: "After a short visit in Spain, France, and Germany I came north and spent the late summer in Norway. Then I went to Esthonia, stopping at Stockholm several days en route. From Esthonia, after a week's visit, I entered Russia by the way of Finland. In Leningrad and here in Moscow I notice many changes since my visit last year. I hope to get back to Boston by the latter part of October."

Wellman has been reappointed a trustee of the University of New Hampshire by the governor and council of that state.

The September issue of the National Messenger, published by the National Life Insurance Co., on its page of "Personals" has the picture of a happy, sturdy boy, about two years old, named James Wellman Burroughs, one of whose grandfathers is well known to '89, whose other grandfather is the late Sherman Burroughs '94, and whose father is Robert Burroughs '21. Is it safe to predict that this smiling youngster will be a member of Dartmouth '51?
