Mrs. Cora F. Weston, wife of Frank Weston, died on August 28 at the New England Baptist Hospital, Boston, after an illness of two months. Mrs. Weston for twenty-seven years had played a prominent part in the community life of Medford, holding various offices in the Woman's Association of the Mystic Congregational church, the D. A. R., the Woman's Club, the League of Women Voters, and other organizations. She was a loyal Dartmouth wife and was always a welcome member of our reunion parties. The deepest sympathy of us all will be extended to Frank and his children.
I have been interested in looking over the list of sons of alumni in the class of 1935. Ninety-two has no representative, in fact '93 is the most ancient class represented, and only eight out of the forty-six were sired by classes before 1900. Evidently we shall have to begin to scan the list for grandsons of '92.
Sam Baldwin has just sent me his subscription for the ALUMNI MAGAZINE. It is comforting to know that someone occasionally takes my advice. In the envelope he enclosed an announcement of a volume entitled "Measurements of Birds," by S. Prentiss Baldwin, at al., and scribbled on the top, "Do not buy it, for it is purely a technical laboratory manual." As he accepted my advice, I am accepting his.
