A series of radio lectures on "Aspects of the Depression," "Psychology To-day," and "Child Development," were begun on Saturday nights beginning October 17 and will continue through November and December under the auspices of the National Advisory Council on Radio in Education. The lectures on "Aspects of the Depression" extend from 8:30 to 8:45 p.m. Eastern Standard time over a nation-wide network of the National Broadcasting Company. The series "Psychology To-day" extends from 8:45 to 9:00 p.m. on these Saturday evenings. This series closes with the lecture November 14 and will be followed by the "Child Development" series.
The November lectures in the series dealing with the depression are as follows: November 7 "Social Consequences of Business Depressions," Jane Addams, Hull House.
November 14 "Effects of Depressions Upon Employment and Wages," William Leiserson, Professor of Economics, Antioch College, Yellow Springs, Ohio.
November 21 "Business Depressions and Business Profits," William F. Gephart, First National Bank, St. Louis, Missouri.
November 28 "Agriculture in Relation to Economic Recovery," Edwin G. Nourse, Director, Institute of Economics, The Brookings Institution, Washington, D. C.
The remaining lectures in the "Psychology To-day" series are: November 7 "Our Social Attitudes," Gardner Murphy, Professor of Psychology, Columbia University.
November 14 "Current Trends in Psychology," R. S. Woodworth, Chairman, Social Science Research Council.
The "Child Development" series is as follows: November 21 "The Growth of the Infant Mind," Arnold Gesell, Director, Clinic on Child Development, Yale University.
November 28 "Children's Fears," Harold E. Jones, Institute of Child Welfare, University of California.
