The heading above just goes to show that a man must not be judged by the length of his name. AE, or George William Russell, brilliant Irish author, agricultural economist and sage, lectured to us on aspects of modem Ireland stressing the Irish literary movement and calling the influence of English culture "a hateful boyhood imposed upon my country." Later the same week we heard that Ireland is one of the two sovereignities of the world (the U. S. being the other) because she is always telling Great Britain where the latter can head for. This came from Senor Salvador de Madariaga, former head of the disarmament section of the League of Nations, world-wide diplomat and author of numerous political essays. Senor Madariaga received a great ovation at the close of his lecture because of his obvious knowledge of his topic, "World Government" and because of his many witticisms. We would like more of his caliber.
