Class in Navigation
April 1931

In connection with the Dartmouth Yacht Club, Professor Richard Goddard, a former member of a McMillan Arctic Expedition and now attached to the department of Geology, is giving instruction in principles of navigation to a special class, membership in which is purely voluntary. At the first recent meeting of the group about 15 were present but the number has increased. All men taking part in the June races in Long Island Sound are expected to attend these sessions. It has been recently announced that membership in the Yacht Club is open to alumni and undergraduates alike, and all members who own boats are entitled to fly the Dartmouth Burgee—a pennant of dark green with white stripe and star.
