On the eve of the Cornell game, November 11, the Dartmouth Club of Syracuse joined with the local alumni of Cornell and Princeton in a smoker at the Syracuse Chamber of Commerce. Dartmouth was very fortunate in being able to present Sid Hazelton as speaker of the evening and Sid gave the fifty alumni of the three colleges an excellent talk.
To start the evening the crowd was put in good spirits by an hour of general sociability and singing, during which everyone had a chance to meet Sid. After a showing of movies of last year's Yale and Cornell games came Sid's talk, which was received very enthusiastically. More songs of the three colleges, lustily sung, and a buffet lunch rounded off the evening.
Dartmouth and Cornell have held smokers several times before, but this is the first Dartmouth-Cornell-Princeton gathering in Syracuse. The success of this smoker and the good feeling which prevailed indicate that more affairs of this kind will be held in the future.
